Seven medical experts from the Chinese mainland arrived in Hong Kong on August 2, 2020, to help the city fight its worst wave of coronavirus infections so far. The group selected by the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission from over 20 public hospitals were the first of about 60 health workers from the mainland assigned to help Hong Kong conduct Covid-19 testing and support potential efforts to build a temporary hospital for coronavirus patients.
