Time now for 'This Week in Sports' and for that we have our Sports editor Paul Neat in the studio.
Paul, the big news this week is that, at long last, fans are back both in the baseball AND football stadiums.
That they are. Fans were allowed in KBO stadiums from last Sunday. Only 10% of the stadium's capacity are allowed in so, already, judging from recent attendance figures, tickets are in high demand. And then, from this Saturday, fans will be allowed back in K League stadiums.
Now, for the K League, there've been some updates to the guidelines, yes?
In both KBO and K League fans have been told no shouting, no leading chants, or doing anything that could raise the risk of spreading droplets. One idea that KBO team Lotte Giants had was for fans to bring something red to the stadium to try show their support visually.
In K League there are similar rules in place, but also one that says fans are not allowed to put their arms around the shoulders of the people next to them. In football it is not uncommon for fans to hug complete strangers when their team scores a goal but that is strictly forbidden.
How do we get tickets for these games? Is it harder to get them now that only a portion of the seats are made available?
All tickets must be purchased online and QR codes will be used to help with contact tracing. Some K League clubs have refunded season tickets due to the 10% allowance, others such as Suwon Bluewings have used them as memberships to give season ticket holders priority. 10% is a small fraction of some teams' average attendances so fans will need to be quick to book. Sections for away fans will not be in operation as the government does not want people spending long periods of time on public transport and risking the chance of infection. But, K League admit that it would be hard to stop away fans from attending.
Moving to the EPL, it has ended up being a good end to the year for Tottenham and Son Heung-min.
Yes, Tottenham were 14th when Jose Mourinho took over but finished 6th and qualified for the Europa League. Son Heung-min has had an excellent season. In fact, it has been his best in the EPL in terms of direct involvement in goals with 21 - 11 goals and 10 assists.
Speaking of goals, I understand Son earned recognition for one he scored earlier this season?
