South Korea reported 58 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday 46 of them imported from abroad.
Most of those were construction workers returning home from Iraq.
As for the local cases, this was the first time since last Monday that there were fewer than 20.
There were no new deaths.
Around the world, Japan saw more than 700 confirmed cases on Saturday the fourth day in a row there have been more than 700.
Spain is also fighting another wave more than a thousand new cases every day the past week, prompting countries in Europe to isolate people arriving from Spain.
The U.S. saw more than a thousand deaths for a fourth straight day on Saturday it has had more than four million cases in total.
