Australia suspends extradition to Hong Kong in light of national security law

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced his government is suspending its extradition agreement with Hong Kong in light of China passing a national security law for the city. Morrison said on July 9, 2020, that Canberra decided to suspend the agreement because the measure Beijing imposed on Hong Kong “constitutes a fundamental change of circumstances.” Video source: AFP
