UGC: Spectacular northern lights in Canada

The northern lights shine brightly through moving clouds in Thompson, Manitoba, in one of the few places on earth where the aurora borealis appears frequently.

The peak for watching the aurora borealis around Thompson is between January and March, but especially in northern parts of Manitoba the northern lights are visible for up to 300 nights of the year.
