Deadly flooding and fish swim down city streets in torrential rains hit southern and eastern China

At least nine people have been killed and five others are missing in floods triggered by heavy rain that has battered several cities across southern and eastern China since June 1, 2020. Chinese state media said that as of June 8, more than 1.76 million people have been affected by the extreme weather which has lashed areas of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
