For a second day in a row South Korea has reported more than 50 cases of COVID-19.
The KCDC confirmed 57 new cases on Sunday, of which a major cluster is linked to a Seoul-based door-to-door sales company called Richway.
The health authorities have therefore announced that there will be inspections carried out on related businesses starting from this coming Monday until the 19th to check up on their quarantine-related practices.
Businesses that are unregistered will be immediately subject to police investigation and strict punishment.
Also, this Wednesday South Korea will adopt the use of QR codes to log visitors to certain establishments like bars and nightclubs.
Ahead of that, the government said it will provide more information to help people better understand the system and how to use it... and roll it out on a wider range of platforms.
