A-10 / OA-10 Thunderbolt II, is the first US Air Force aircraft after World War II that is designed for close air support from ground forces. It is a simple, effective and armored jet so it is more resistant to opponents than other fighters, single-seat, dual-engine designed to attack ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles. A-10 aircraft are only used by the United States Air Force and are planned to remain in use until 2028.

A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-engine jet fighter specializing in air support fighter aircraft that had been made in the early 1970s. This aircraft was manufactured by aircraft manufacturer Fairchild Republic, a company founded in 1925 and changed owners several times. The last time the company was bought by an Israeli defense industry, Elbit Systems.

A-10 Thunderbolt II is designed for the needs of the US Air Force for air protection and support (CAS: Close Air Support) for ground troops from enemy tanks or armored fighting vehicles. The A-10 is the first US fighter aircraft designed for air support.
