Nation Reporter: No change in income tax rates or slab changes

The Union Budget 2018 has been announced in the Parliament today. There is no change in income tax rates or slab rates. While keeping the income tax rates and slabs unchanged, Jaitley introduced a Rs 40,000 Standard Deduction for salaried employees and pensioners in lieu of transport and medical expenses.
