No plans to introduce new 1000-rupee notes, focus on Rs 500 and lower denomination notes production: Shaktikanta Das

Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das on Wednesday tweeted that there were no plans to introduce new series of Rs 1000 currency denomination notes in the immediate future as the government's primary focus was on production & supply of ?500 & lower denomination notes.
