The fire mishap at the Puttingal Devi Temple in Kerala's Kollam district during a display offireworks has left 83 people dead and 350 others injured,according to the Home Ministry. A case has also been registered against temple authorities and explosive licensees. As the temple festival was on, fireworks display had commenced at the temple precincts since midnight and hundreds of people had gathered to watch the show.
