An untoward incident took place in a recently held 'Ma Mariamma festival' in Jalandhar. The festival takes place every year where fathers hold their child and run on fire in the name of paying tribute to the Goddess. However, this year a six year old child lost its life when the father slipped and fell into the fire along with the child.
