Terming the practice of 'triple talaq' as unconstitutional, the Allahabad high court on Thursday said that no personal law board is above the Constitution.

While hearing a plea filed by some Muslim women on the issue, the high court said that the practice also violates the rights of Muslim women. The high court said the triple talaq practice – sanctioned under Muslim personal law that governs marriage, property and divorce – violats the rights of Muslim women.
