Cyclone Vardah update: Storm picks up speed, likely to hit coast by 1:30pm

The severe cyclonic storm ‘Vardah’ is expected to hit Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh’s coastal regions at around 1:30pm on Monday, officials said. A high alert has been sounded across the two states and disaster management teams like NDRF, Indian Navy and Indian Airforce have deployed their units to manage the situation.
