This is not just a poem. The mother of an Indian warrior stationed on the outskirts has emotions in her mind. These feelings of the mother were dedicated to her mother by her son's words and she was martyred. These few lines written by Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, who was martyred on Sunday in Handwara of Jammu and Kashmir, show that he could never forget his mother who gave birth even while performing his duty towards the motherland. Pallavi, wife of martyr Colonel Ashutosh Sharma, told the media that on April 28, she wrote this poem for her mother.

यह सिर्फ एक कविता नहीं है। सरहद पर तैनात एक भारतीय योद्धा की मां के मन में करवटें लेतीं भावनाएं हैं। मां की इन्हीं भावनाओं को उसके बेटे ने शब्द देकर मां को समर्पित किया और शहीद हो गया। जम्मू-कश्मीर के हंदवाड़ा में रविवार को शहीद हुए कर्नल आशुतोष शर्मा की लिखी ये चंद पंक्तियां दर्शाती हैं कि मातृभूमि के प्रति अपना कर्तव्य निर्वाह करते हुए भी वह अपनी जन्म देने वाली मां को कभी विस्मृत नहीं कर पाते थे। शहीद कर्नल आशुतोष शर्मा की पत्नी पल्लवी ने मीडिया को बताया कि इसी 28 अप्रैल को उन्होंने मां के लिए यह कविता लिखी थी।
