선물만기일' 국제유가 사상 첫 마이너스…5월물 WTI '-37달러'

We start with an extraordinary day on the world's oil markets.
The fossil fuel on Monday became technically worthless or less than worthless, with American oil companies paying investors to take it off their hands.
The unprecedented collapse caused oil prices to plunge below zero U.S. dollars,... to negative 37 dollars 63 cents a barrel.
That's the lowest on record.
The June futures contract for WTI is trading at around 22 dollars a barrel after falling 18 percent.
Brent crude fell 8 percent to less than 26 dollars.
Oil prices are in freefall as the COVID-19 pandemic has hammered demand and producers are running out of room to store their excess supply.
