Indira Gandhi gave slogans to end poverty too, but did nothing: Swamy

Speaking to News Nation over Congress manifesto, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy took a dig at grand old party president Rahul Gandhi saying he is an economist is not illiterate like Nehru family. “I am an economist, I will see the data about the resource,” Swamy said on Congress’ claim to eliminate poverty. “The whole world knows Indira Gandhi gave slogan to eliminate the poverty but she did nothing. Riding the poverty slogan, she got a two-third majority, he added.
