Many important services including banking and transport are expected to be hit during the nationwide 'Bharat Bandh' called against the government's "anti-people" policies. The strike has been called by ten central trade unions - INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, UTUC.
