In the latest case, Nihangs in Patiala in Punjab attacked with a sword and cut off the hand of a policeman. In this case, the police have arrested nine Nihangs. This incident has created a ruckus in the state, Punjab's senior advocate HS Phoolka has demanded strict punishment of the accused.

देश में कोरोना वायरस के बढ़ते संकट के कारण लॉकडाउन लागू है. हालांकि लॉकडाउन का पालन करवाने वाले पुलिसकर्मियों पर हमले के मामले आए दिन सामने आ रहे हैं. ताजा मामले में पंजाब के पटियाला में निहंगों ने तलवार से हमला कर एक पुलिसकर्मी का हाथ काट डाला. इस मामले में पुलिस ने नौ निहंगों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है. इस घटना से अब प्रदेश में हंगामा मचा हुआ है, पंजाब के वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता एचएस फूलका ने आरोपियों को कड़ी सजा देने की मांग की है.
