The COVID-19 virus has now infected more than one-and-a-half million people worldwide,... and claimed almost 95-thousand lives. That's according to the latest statistics from Johns Hopkins University. The U.S. has the most confirmed cases in the world with over 454-thousand infections. The state of New York, which accounts for 40 percent of total COVID-19 deaths in the U.S.,... recorded its highest daily increase on Thursday 779 taking the total death toll to nearly 63-hundred. In Europe, Spain and Italy have seen their number of cases top 152-thousand and 143-thousand respectively. Germany has also seen its cases soar to 115-thousand. Of the confirmed cases globally, some 350-thousand people have recovered.
