Why Jasmine Curtis-Smith took the ‘indie’ route?
She may be locally and internationally recognized for critically acclaimed performances in the indie titles “Transit,” “Dementia,” “Baka Bukas” and “Maledicto,” but save for a supporting role in the mainstream movie “Siargao,” the name Jasmine Curtis Smith has never landed a lead in a commercial film since she started in show business in 2010 — until romantic drama film “Cara X Jagger” came along in 2019.

Why did it take this long for the talented actress to get a lead role in movies? Is there any regret in taking the “indie route?”
