The ICC had asked its twitter users to pick the batsman with the best pull shot and they uploaded a photo of four players and did not include Rohit Sharma in the list. The list included the photographs of Viv Richards, Ricky Ponting (Australia), Virat Kohli (India) and South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs. Currently no batsman hits more sixes on the pull than Sharma. From the start of 2015, he has struck 116 sixes playing the pull shot across formats in international cricket.

ESPN Cricinfo ने इस बारे में लिखा है, ''रोहित शर्मा ने 2015 से लेकर पुल शॉट से 1567 रन बनाये और उन्होंने सभी प्रारूपों में इस शॉट से सर्वाधिक रन बनाए. जब उन्होंने पुल शॉट खेला तब उनका स्ट्राइक रेट 274.91 रहा जो कि पुल शॉट खेलकर 500 से अधिक रन बनाने वाले बल्लेबाजों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ रहा.''
