The government says it will treat India's growing outbreak of the new coronavirus disease, Covid-19, as a notified disaster for the providing purpose of assistance under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).It listed assistance norms in a release published today, and said Rs 4 lakh would be paid to the families of victims, "including those involved in relief operations or associated in response activities, subject to certification regarding the cause of death from the appropriate authority."

कोरोनावायरस के बढ़ते खतरे को देखते हुए सरकार ने कोरोनावायरस को आपदा घोषित करने का फैसला किया है, ताकि स्टेट डिजास्टर रिस्पॉन्स फंड (एसडीआरएफ) के तहत मृतकों के परिवारों को मुआवजा दिया जा सके. गृह मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, मृतकों के परिजनों को 4 लाख रुपए दिए जाएंगे. इनमें उन लोगों को भी शामिल किया गया है, जो राहत-बचाव कार्य के दौरान कोरोनावायरस से संक्रमित होंगे. देखें वीडियो
