A total of 28 people, including women and children, were killed in various rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.
The state has been witnessing rain and thunderstorms since Thursday. "In Uttar Pradesh, 28 people have died in incidents related to rain and hailstorm in the past 24 hours," Information Department Director Shishir said here.
लखीमपुर खीरी और सीतापुर जिले में सर्वाधिक 6-6 लोगों की मौत हुई है. बाराबंकी और जौनपुर में 3-3, सोनभद्र में आकाशीय बिजली की चपेट में आकर दो लोगों की जान गई है. इसके अलावा मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के क्षेत्र गोरखपुर, वाराणसी, चंदौली, मिर्जापुर, सिद्धार्थनगर, अयोध्या, कानपुर देहात और बलरामपुर में एक-एक व्यक्ति की मौत हुई है.
