Employees of an unassuming candy shop were surprised when their store became the focus of a viral TikTok challenge.
Candyland, located in the Harbourtown shopping centre, in Gold Coast, imports Zing Jelly Fruits, a liquid lolly encased in a plastic wrapper.
The challenge involves biting down on the plastic without the lolly exploding.
Candyland shop assistant Erica said thousands of teenagers were flocking to the the store to try the challenge.
'We're keeping on top of it,' she said.
'We sell out really fast, and get them stocked back in really fast.'

She said the challenge caught their attention almost three months ago when they noticed demand drastically increasing.
Candyland marketing manager Jade Wood said they were thrilled by the publicity despite the challenge causing a lot of mess.
