Twelve Men of Alleged Right-Wing Terror Group "The Hard Core" (der harte Kern) In Custody

Last Friday the police searched several homes across the country. Twelve men between the ages 31 and 60 years have been arrested and are still in custody. They are accused of having planned terror attacks against mosques in small countries and killing the worshippers. The police found weapons and Nazi symbols. But the story of a rapid radicalisation of men over the age of 30 sounds implausible and an ideological classification as neo-Nazis might be insufficient. What is fishy about the story is that the Office of the Federal Attorney paints the attack as an act of treason, capable of toppling the state albeit the mosques were obviously selected as soft targets. Such attacks would have been a painful human tragedy, but could in no way threaten the state as such.
