Georgia: hundreds of people turn up for mass baptism

Hundreds of children are baptised at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi, as the latest godchildren of the head of Georgia's Orthodox Church who offered in 2008 to become godfather to every third child born to a family. The initiative met with a spike in birth rates among Georgian families and now the Church says the patriarch is godfather to some 40,000 children.
