US New York Mayor on Soleimani’s death and taking 'whatever steps' to protect New Yorkers

"We have to assume that this action puts us in the de facto state of war," Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, tells reporters, after a US strike kills top Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani in Baghdad. De Blasio says the city will "take whatever steps" to protect New Yorkers, explaining there’s a "world of difference" between dealing with Al-Qaeda or ISIS, and dealing with Iran, a state actor.
