At least 16 killed in Indonesia’s worst floods since 2013

Jakarta was hit by severe floods on the first day of 2020. Torrential rains had pounded the Indonesian capital starting New Year’s Eve. By January 1, at least 16 people were reported killed, as the airport was closed and thousands of residents were evacuated. The flooding was the worst seen in Jakarta since 2013.
