Srinagar (J&K), Dec 17: Indian Army celebrated ‘Vijay Diwas’ in Srinagar on Dec 17. Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon paid floral tribute to the slain soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the motherland during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. ‘Vijay Diwas’ is celebrated to commemorate India’s victory in the 1971 war. The war was fought for the liberation of Bangladesh, then East Pakistan.
