This is the penultimate scene from the 1945 Ealing film 'Dead of Night', which I think is probably the best horror film ever made.
If you can ignore the posh accents of most of the actors, plus some of the suspect acting ability, then this is as finer film as you could get.
The atmosphere - created by the black and white photography, strange camera angles and plenty of uplighting - is incredible.
Containing 5 seperate tales within the main story, this has to be british film making at its best.
