Man shoots up strip club over rejected debit card

WATERLOO, IOWA — An Iowa man went crazy outside a gentlemen's club, and all over a declined debit card. Some people and their tempers.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that according to court records, James Allen Wells showed up at a Waterloo strip club late Friday, and got himself a lap dance.

The 67-year-old bust out his debit card to pay for the private service, but it got declined.

Upset, Wells stormed out of the club, pulled out a .38-caliber revolver, then went trigger happy shooting five rounds in the parking lot.

Let me get this straight — dude stiffed the club and essentially got a free lap dance, and HE'S mad? Boomers these days.

According to the Coutrier, Wells' five shots hit a bunch of parked vehicles, including a Dodge Durango, a Chrysler Town and Country, and a Chevy Impala.

He then got into his own car and skedaddled, but got into a short chase with some cops who tried to pull him over for speeding.

Wells eventually crashed his car into a curb and ended up getting apprehended by officers following a short scuffle.

He has since been charged with criminal mischief, reckless use of a firearm, assault on a peace officer and reckless driving.
