'It just felt like a magical moment': Husky's maternal instincts kick in while caring for trio of two-week-old rescue kittens

This was the incredibly cute moment a husky used its maternal instincts to take care for a trio of kittens on May 22 this year.

Footage shows the husky named Bella clean and nuzzle the infant cats as their cries can be heard.

Bella's owner told Newsflare: "On May 19, 2019 my coworker found a litter of kittens in an abandoned shed near Hathaway Park in Washougal, WA.

"She brought them to work, not knowing what to do since the humane society was closed this particular day.

"I decided to take them home and raise them myself.

I kept them in a separate room and learned very quickly how to bottle feed, keep them warm, and help them go to the bathroom.

"My dog Bella was immediately interested in them but due to their size, I kept her away for a few days.

"By May 22, though, I decided she could come into the room and watch me feed; I figured she would be fine as long as I monitored her, and knowing her personality I knew she would really enjoy being a part of the process.

"The result was so incredibly sweet I almost cried.

"She knew they needed to be cleaned and I needed the help.

"After this day we began our routine: I would do the feedings and afterwards she would clean them up.

"Since this day she has been the best mama you could ask for and I am extremely grateful to live alongside her beautiful soul.

"She has a bond with each kitty and it’s obvious she adores motherhood, as I adore being her mom as well."
