Taking a look at how markets fared today,
On Wall Street, the Dow fell from record levels while the S&P edged lower on Tuesday as dour forecasts from retailers Home Depot and Kohl's fueled worries about consumer spending as the U.S.-China trade dispute dragged on.
At closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell point-4 percent, the S&P 500 point-oh-six percent and the Nasdaq Composite added roughly two-tenths of a percent.
On the Korean bourse, stocks closed lower as investors remained cautious over mixed signals around a potential U.S-China trade deal.
The benchmark KOSPI fell point-3 percent and the tech-heavy KOSDAQ lost 1 percent.
Global oil prices sank as China, U.S. trade war sentiment turned sour on Tuesday.
International benchmark Brent crude dipped 2-point-4 percent to trade at 60 dollars and 92 cents a barrel while the WTI crude plunged 3-point-2 percent to 55-24 per barrel.
