Large Tracts of Paddy Field destroyed by wild Jumbos in Digboi, No Casualties Reported

A big herd of elephants destroyed a large tracts of paddy fields in Khalgaon of Dhekiajan under Digboi Forest Division on Thursday night.
Later, another unfortunate incident came to light where an elephant calf fell into a ditch, however, elephants didn't leave their member behind and managed to rescue by their own.
Local people slammed the Forest Department for their lackadaisical attitude and for being unpunctual.
