Plan to invest in clean energy in India, says Laurel Ostfield of AIIB

Development bank AIIB or Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has just announced an investment of USD 575 million into the suburban railways and renewable energy sector in India. AIIB will grant a long-term project loan of USD 500 million to the government for Mumbai Urban Transport Corporation and invest another USD 75 million in Tata Cleantech Capital. With this, AIIB's total India investment stands at USD 2.9 billion. Ritu Singh spoke with Laurel Ostfield, director general communications at AIIB to discuss the bank's future plans in India.
