The Returned (Los que vuelven) theatrical trailer - Laura Casabé-directed horrAR

Description of Laura Casabé's horrAR (i.e., Argentine horror) movie The Returned (Los que vuelven) from the Mar del Plata International Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata): "A woman pleads for her son to come back to life. Fortunately, her prayers are heard by Iguazú, the mother of day and night, and the baby wakes up from death with a vibrant, deafening wail, not unlike the roar of the massive waterfalls in Misiones. The myth says that invoking Iguazú, as powerful as she might be, is forbidden. Violating that rule has consequences. THE RETURNED is set in a remote time, when women wore corsets and were undressed by maids. Laura Casabé's film is a tale of contrasts such as those between the different classes or the heat of the sun outside and the cold, candle-lit interiors. Opposites that may well merge together, like a miracle disintegrating into tragedy. Viewers will be enveloped in a cloud of uncertainty that'll have them jumping at their own shadow."
