If you are were a fan of WWE in the late '90s, all you may remember is sexualization of female characters, mud-fights and bra and panty matches. Today women in wrestling have worked hard to change that perception.

With the success of Netflix's Glow series, I want to exchange similarities and differences between the 2 and attempt to explore the changing tide of women in sports since the 40's.

For more, there is an excellently executed analysis and behind-the-scenes insight in the documentary which is featured on Netflix: GLOW – The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (documentary on Netflix)
