Senegal will soon see its first megawatts of industrially produced wind power, marking a step towards the goals of providing electricity for all and diversifying sources of power in favour of renewable energy. The Taïba Ndiaye wind farm, Senegal's first industrial-scale wind energy project, is due to be linked to the grid in the second week of December.
