South Korea's consumer sentiment rose for the second consecutive month in October. According to the Bank of Korea, the consumer sentiment index came to 98-point-six for this month, up one-point-seven points from September. The central bank attributed the rise to optimism over the U.S.-China trade negotiations and higher stock prices. But the figure is still below 100, meaning there are more pessimists than optimists about the local economy.
