SpaceX’s Crew Dragon astronaut capsule will soon be ready for its first manned test flight into orbit.
It should be ready in the first quarter of next year, if “everything goes according to plan” in the tests.
Elon Musk’s company has a “fail fast, then fix” approach to spacecraft design, reports Reuters.
NASA’s concern is mainly for astronaut safety so they are reporting the timeline could slip.
Testing will be complete and hardware at Cape Canaveral by the end of December.
