UNSC committee allows imports of vehicles, equipment into N. Korea for aid work

The UN Security Council's North Korea sanctions committee has given permission for NGOs to bring items worth over 300-thousand U.S. dollars into North Korea for humanitarian purposes in the coming months.
According to the committee's website, the World Health Organization was given the go-ahead last week to take in three vehicles for the safe transportation of its staff.
An Irish NGO, Concern Worldwide, will also be allowed to take threshers, tractors, and other devices to improve water quality for their work on nutrition and hygiene.
These are among eight exemptions the committee granted in September for humanitarian work.
That compares to three exemptions in August and four in July.
