Hong Kong woman with rare skin condition offers advice about handling bullies and other life challenges

Mui Thomas is a young Hong Kong woman who has harlequin ichthyosis, a rare skin disorder which causes her skin to grow 10 times faster than normal.  She has faced cyberbullying as well as endured stares or rude behaviour from people who do not understand her condition.  Mui told the South China Morning Post that she uses these negative encounters to motivate herself to find ways to give back to society.  With motivational speaking appearances, teaching and writing – including on her Facebook…
