N. Korea holds emergency meeting over the approaching Typhoon Lingling

Now with the typhoon heading north, North Korea is also bracing itself for Typhoon Lingling.
Pyeongyang's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported... that the regime's ruling party convened an emergency meeting of its central military committee on Friday morning presided over by Kim Jong-un.
Kim stressed that the military should take the lead to reduce damage from the typhoon.
He said people should be moved away from areas prone to flooding and landslides,... while crops, infrastructure and properties should be protected.
Through broadcasts on its state-run Korean Central Television, the North has forecast that Typhoon Lingling will reach its southwestern province of Hwanghaenam-do tonight... and move northward to China by tomorrow morning.
