The nation's finance chief says South Korea and Russia will start working on a free trade agreement in goods on top of the FTA they're pursuing in services and investment.
On the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, Hong Nam-ki said signing a bilateral FTA for goods will not only help lower tariffs but also speed up customs processes.
Seoul and Moscow started talks on services and investment last June.
The two sides' bilateral trade last year amounted to around 25 billion U.S. dollars.
