Almost P1-B allotted for repair of damaged colleges

Malacanang has authorized the release of P987.3 million in fresh funds to rehabilitate 35 state colleges and universities around the country. These schools were damaged by super typhoon Yolanda and other recent calamities. The state colleges and universities to be repaired are spread across eight regions, including areas affected by last year's magnitude 7.2 earthquake in Bohol and the Zamboanga siege. Nineteen of the schools to be rehabilitated are in Yolanda-hit areas where about 157,000 students were affected. - Mornings@ANC, 2 June 2014
