La Salle, San Beda bounce back in PCCL Final 4

MANILA, Philippines – In the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL), UAAP champions De La Salle pounced on an exhausted FEU squad to claim an 80-60 victory in their second game of the round-robin Final Four. After losing to upstart Southwestern University (SWU) in their first game, La Salle bounced back by demolishing the Tamaraws who were unable to put together a strong defensive effort. Matt Salem led the Green Archers with 17 points and nine rebounds. In Tuesday’s other game, the San Beda Red Lions showed their championship class as they routed the SWU Cobras, 77-49. Ola Adeogun and veteran forward Kyle Pascual gave San Beda a boost as they recovered from yesterday from a loss to FEU in their first game. All teams now hold identical 1-1 records, making Thursday’s Final Four games do-or-die affairs for all squads. -- Mornings @ ANC, December 11, 2013.
