Pinoys remember their dead on All Saints' Day

Millions of Filipinos across the country trooped to cemeteries to pay respects to their dead on All Saints' Day. Police are on full alert, checking visitors for banned items like alcoholic beverages, loud portable stereos, knives and other deadly weapons. Authorities are also securing bus terminals, air and sea ports as families are still heading to their provinces for the long weekend. Although no major incident has been reported in cemeteries, authorities are warning the public to be wary of petty thieves. At the Manila North Cemetery, a vehicle of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) was robbed. The wallet of a fire inspector and fire fighting equipment were stolen after BFP personnel momentarily left the vehicle unguarded. ANC Top Story, November 1, 2013
