MANILA - 4 towns in Bulacan remain submerged after days of nonstop rain battered Luzon. Speaking to radio dzMM, Bulacan Gov. Willie Alvarado said the release of water from the Bustos Dam, which coincided with the high tidem caused floodwaters to rise in Hagonoy, Paombong, Malolos and Obando. Some 9,000 families have sought shelter in evacuation centers. Portions of MacArthur Highway from Calumpit to Meycauayan are impassable to light vehicles.
