Over 200,000 families affected by floods

MANILA - Over 200,000 families have been affected by the onslaught of Tropical Storm "Maring" and the southwest monsoon. The heavy rains caused floods in 80 municipalities and 35 cities in Regions 1, 3 and 4 and Metro Manila. The death toll remains at 8 with 41 people injured and 4 more missing. Several areas in Luzon have declared a state of calamity. These are: Laguna Cavite Bataan Muntinlupa Malabon Paranaque San Mateo, Rizal Taytay, Rizal Masantol, Pampanga Macabebe, Pampanga Guagua, Pampanga Narvacan, Ilocos Sur Gregorio del Pilar, Ilocos Sur Candon, Ilocos Sur Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur Sta.
